Chairman Zvizdić Receives Minister Wallstrom

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić met in Sarajevo with Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Sweden Margot Wallstrom. 

Chairman Zvizdić informed Minister Wallstrom of the current political and economic satiation in BIH, especially turning to BIH’s road to the EU and Euro-Atlantic integrations. He expressed his gratitude to Swedish people for support and assistance to BIH citizens from 1992 to date. He emphasised the importance of regional cooperation in the European integrations process, and underlined the importance of experiences of Sweden, which might serve as a beneficial model for our region.

Chairman Zvizdić and Minister Wallstron appreciated signing of a bilateral agreement between BIH and the Kingdom of Sweden on development cooperation in 2013-2020. The aim of the cooperation is to support the EU integrations process of BIH, though assisting in promotion of economic integrations with the EU and development of effective market economy, democratic strengthening and respect for human rights and rule of law, in addition to improved environmental protection.

They discussed possibilities for further improvement of political and economic relations of BIH and Sweden.

The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden in BIH Frederik Schiller.
