Chairman of Council of Ministers of B-H Receives EU Commissioner for Interior

Chairman of the Council of Ministers dr Nikola Špirić received today in Sarajevo EU Commissioner for internal Affairs Cecilia Malmstorm with her associates. The meeting was attended by Minister of Security Sadik Ahmetović and Minister of Justice Bariša Čolak. 

Malstorm congratulated to B-H authorities for a well done job so that its citizens, biometic passports holders, will be able to travel to Schengen countries. It is underlined that the decision on lifting of visas represents a considerable success which will facilitate the contacts between people and improve business possibilities, and offer larger possibility to B-H citizens to get acquainted with European values even better.

Chairman Špirić highlighted that a decision on visa regime liberalisation represents a strong incentive for further advancement of B-H towards European Integrations.

The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H said that the visa regime liberalisation for B-H citizens is not a right but rather an obligation, and that the non-visa regime implies accountability. (end)
