Zvizdić – Davutoglu: To Strengthen Cooperation at All Levels and Invest Additional Effort to Increase Investments

The meeting of the two prime Ministers was followed by a meeting of the delegations of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Government of the Republic of Turkey.
Chairman Zvizdič and Prime Minister Davutoglu at their meeting exchanged views on the current developments in BIH and in Turkey. The agreed that the relations between the two states are good and friendly, without outstanding political issues, and added that the mutual cooperation thereof improves in all fields.
Chairman Zvizdić expressed his condolences for the recent terrorist attacks and considerable human victims which hit Turkey in recent months.
Chairman Zvizdić informed Prime Minister Davuutoglu of the realisation of the reform Agenda goals and of both political and economic indices featured by a steady positive trend. He thanked to high-ranking officials of Turkey to a constant support to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its road to the European Union and NATO. Chairman Zvizdić commended the high level of regulated bilateral agreements, emphasising that BIH has the larget number of bilateral treaties rightly with the Republic of Turkey.
Prime Minister Davutoglu congratulated to BIH for the EU membership application submission, he said Turkey pays due care to the economic development of our country and its EU integrations process, and that wit will continue to support BIH economy though development projects founded via the Turkish International Development Agency (TIKA) which participated in already realised 700 projects worth USD 300 million.
The discussed the Trade Agreement between BIH and Turkey and on meat export, as one of important elements of the Agreement. Chairman Zvizidć said it is important for BIH to have the trade exchange extended to cheese and milk, as well as to have verified both capacities and quality of products originating form BIH, already present a the Turkish market, such as oil and other BIH export products. He proposed the meat export quotas to become a part of a trade agreement and a part of a long-term programme.
They expressed their dedication to improve future cooperation at all fields and to invest additional efforts to increase Turkish investments to BIH, especially in SMEs development segment.
Chairman Zvizdić said he is certain htat Turkey will continue in the future period of time to realise its political and economic aims and that it will maintain its solid position at the international political scene.
The meeting was attended by Deputy chairman and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BIH Mirko Šarović, Minister of Defence of BIH Marina Pendreš, Minister fo Civil Affairs Adil Osmanović, Minister fo Tourism and Environment of FBIH Edita Đapo, BIH Ambassador in Turkey Damir Džanko nd Turkish Ambassador in BIH Cihad Erginay.
Other than meetings of Chairman Zvizdić with Prime Minister Davutoglu and meeting of the delegations of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Government of the Republic of Turkey, BIH Minister of Defence marina Pendreš and Defence Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ismail Yilmaz signed and Agreement between the Council of Ministers of BIH and Government of the Republic of Turkey on cooperation in military training.
These meetings were followed by statements to media of Chairman Zvizdić and Prime Minister Davutoglu.
In his address to the media, Prime Minister Dauvtoglu stressed the commitment of Turkey to Bosnia and Herzegovina, He emphasised his joy by every good news from BIH and his regret by every bad news.
“I wish to convey to a friend of mine Denis Zvizdić and to the people in Bosnia and Herzegovina that Turkey is always behind you. We support your road to the EU and NATO and we encourage our businessmen to invest to BIH, We support the regional cooperation among the states, as well, because in our view, peace in Bosnia means peace in the Balkans”, said Prime Minister Davutoglu.
Expressing his gratitude to the Republic of Turkey to the continued friendly support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chairman Zvizdić underlined that Turkey has always supported all ethnic communities in BIH, respecting independency of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He added that Turkey support renovation of cultural heritage in BIH and economic development, as well.
“In the same way, Turkey supports nowadays to the people in Syria. Today, it is a moral matrix at the global level of assisting to the people in trouble. Therefore we very disturbed about the terrorist attacks that took place in Turkey. On this occasion I offer our condolence to families of the victims, and I want to say to the Turkish people that we stand by your side in you combat against terrorism”, Chairman Zvizdić said.
