Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić and Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu addressed to a Business Forum Bosnia and Herzegovina – Republic of Turkey, taking place in Ankara, which gathered Turkish and BIH entrepreneurs. 

In his address to the entrepreneurs, Chairman Zvizdić emphasised comparative advantages of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is at the beginning of putting its full human resources into the function of economic development. He added that BIH seeks strategic partners in the areas of energy, agriculture, wood-processing, metal and special purpose industry, transport and tourism.

Chairman Zvizdić said Bosnia and Herzegovina is committed to its reform process aimed to strengthen business climate, and in regard to that he emphasised to potential investors that they will find a genuine partner in all-level authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He informed gathered businessmen on the macro-economic indicators in Bosnia and Herzegovina, saying that they show that the reform moves already yield notable results.

Turing to the trade exchange between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey, which reaches USD 560 million, Chairman Zvizdić said that it may be much better. He said that an aim was set at his today’s talks with Prime Minister Davutoglu, Speaker Kahriman and President Erdogan, to increase it to USD one billion by year 2018, adding that such aim is not impossible to reach, since trade exchange five years ago was only USD 120 million.

Chairman Zvizdić said to businessmen that BIH has already prepared projects for which it seeks partners. He emphasised that Bosnia and Herzegovina is the right place to invest, nowadays, when it intensifies its Euro-Atlantic integrations process. He said that the improvement of business climate on which the Council of Ministers work continuously, is the best way to create jobs to employ young people and encourage them to see and connect their future to their homeland – Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Prime Minister Dauvtoglu said Bosnia and Herzegovina is an important partner of Turkey, underlining traditionally good and friendly relations of the countries and peoples, connected by joint history.

He said that Turkey will always gladly incite their businessmen to invest to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed his hope that those who did invest will continue to do so.
