Zvizdić, Bevanda and Šarović with EU Work Group for Western Balkans

Chairman Zvizdić said that the previous year was extremely important for BIH and the Western Balkans in the context of the EU prospect, expressing his hopes that the equal dynamics of relations would be continued. He reiterated the commitment of the Council of Ministers of BIH to the EU integrations process, which has been a priority of work over the past several years and consequently BIH manged to fulfil all its obligations on the European road, after many-year stalemate.
The EU representatives commended the course of reforms to-date in BIH, and asked a series of questions as to the current political-economic developments and reform processes in BIH.
Chairman Zvizdić said that everybody are aware of the necessity of acceleration of related reform processes in order to secure a continuous progress towards the EU. He stressed that awarding the candidate status to our country in this year gave a strong momentum to reforms implementation, beneficial to citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while MPA activation would give an additional contribution to peace and stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He expressed his gratitude to EU institutions and member-countries for the support when have extended thus far to Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the EU integrations process.
The meeting was attended by Director of the Directorate for European Integrations of BIH Edin Dilberović and Head of the European Union Delegation in BIH Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark.
