Chairwoman Krišto talked with Soreco on Transporters' Issues

Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Borjana Krišto had a phone conversation with Head of Delegation of the European Union in BIH Ambassador Luigi Soreco on serious disturbances in transport of goods and functioning of international transport, caused by a blockage of border crossings towards the European Union.

Ambassador Soreco briefed the Chairwoman on the European Commission new visa strategy, under which professional truck drivers were recognised for the first time as a special category, adding that a meeting of all Western Balkan (WB6) ministers with representatives of the European Commission was scheduled for February 3.

Considering a serious damage and financial losses suffered currently by economy of Bosna and Herzegovina and of the whole region and having regard that the European Union has already started institutional processes for urgent issue-solving, a joint call was sent to a Transporters Consortium to assume a constructive approach in the relevant issue-soling.
