The Council of Ministers of BIH enabled funds under the Ministry of Civil Affairs current grants intended to co-financing of sports events, culture projects, and HIV, TBC and addiction prevention NGOs’ projects, in addition to awareness rising on donorship in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including international cultural cooperation, together with the Ministry for Huan Rights and refugees grants are all spend in a legal way and effectively in the current year, after et Law in Budget of institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and International Obligations of BIH had been adopted in Nov. 20, 2025.

This was made possible  both by adoption of five decisions amending decisions for  2924-2026 on criteria for distribution of funds from four current grants of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, namely: “Co-Financing of Sports Events”; “Co-Financing of Culture Projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina”; “Co-Financing of NGOs for HIV, TVBC and Addition Diseases Prevention and Awareness Rising on Donorship in Bosnia and Herzegovina”; “International Cultural Cooperation”, and by defining the way of spending  of the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees grants.

Since grant funds may be solely used in the year they were approved, the decision amendment regulates that a public ad for applications submission for grant funds allocation in 2025 will be opened 15 days after the last publication, relative to the previous 21 days deadline.

This way risks of non-using the grant funds due to limited time should be removed and applicants enabled realisation of their projects.

The solution adopted today leaves enough time for preparation and submission of applications and enables the complete process to be implemented during the remaining part of the year within legal and administrative deadlines. (end)
