Bevanda – Keqiang in Belgrade: To Promote Regional Cooperation through Joint Projects

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda met in Belgrade with Prime Minister of People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang and offered him his congratulations for successful governing of the state, which has become the leading economic power of the world, since last year’s Summit in Bucharest. 

Chairman Bevnada thanked for assistance the Government of the People’s Republic of China sent for recovery from damages caused by catastrophic floods. The meeting reiterated readiness to finance projects under preferential terms, which have to be technically prepared, so the Government of the People’s Republic of China approved USD 8 million of project development support.

Chairman Bevanda underlined the importance of regional cooperation through projects of general interest, and these are the revitalisation of the Beograd – Sarajevo railway, improvement of cooperation though civil engineering projects for roads and bridges, especially along the Corridor V c, Adriatic – Ionian Motorway and Banjaluka – Split Motorway.

Prime Minister Keqiang said the People’s Republic of China attaches a great importance and value to traditionally good relations between the two states. He expressed his conviction that good bilateral relations will continue to improve. He pointed put that the People’s Republic of China will promote regional cooperation, and he pledged his full support to railways revitalisation project through the Beograd-Sarajevo railway rehabilitation project.

This is the third Summit of Prime Ministers of the People’s Republic of China and 6 Central and Eastern Europe attended by Chairman Bevanda.
