Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted its application to join Action Plan for NATO membership (MAP)



On October 2^nd 2009, in NATO HQ in Bruxselles, Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Zeljko Komsic has submitted to Andres Fogh Rasmussen, Secretary General of NATO Application of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Action Plan for membership to NATO Alliance (MAP). Minister of Defense Selmo Cikotic PhD, Chief of JS of AF of Bosnia and Herzegovina Lt.General Miladin Milojcic, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sven Alkalaj and Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to NATO in Bruxelles Mr. Nikola Radovanovic were also been present on that event.

 

Secretary General Rasmussen expressed his gratitude and gave support to Bosnia and Herzegovina for this action, with remark that Bosnia and Herzegovina steel has some tasks to accomplish, Constitutional reform, Defense reform, and to accomplish conditions set out by PIC to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

Secretary General Rasmussen also emphasized that he "strongly support commitment of Bosnia and Herzegovina to send members of its AF to ISAF mission in Afghanistan".
