CoM: EBRD Loan for Roads Reconstruction and Modernisation in FBIH

At today’s extraordinary session, the Council of Ministers of BIH defined a Proposal Loan Contact (Roads f the Federation of BIH – Post-Flood Reconstruction and Modernisation) between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). 

The project purpose is to assist in rehabilitation and modernisation of primary road network in the Federation of ŽBIH following damage made by heavy spring 2014 flood, as well as to lift the level of services and safety on highway network in the Federation of BIH.

The total value of the loan is EUR 65 million, with 15 term including three-year grace period for principal repayment. For the needs of the project, scheduled to be finalised by December 31, 2019, about EUR six million needs to be funded form the Federation of BIH Budget for 2016, for the costs for expropriation and revolving funds for VAT.

The Proposal Loan Contract will be forwarded to the BIH Presidency for further procedure, while the Minister of Finance and Treasury was proposed for the BIH signatory.
