Council of Ministers of BIH Decides to Stand-By Arrangement Withdraw First Tranche

At its 21st session, held today, the Council of Ministers took a Decision on acceptance of liability towards the International Monetary Fund under the IV Stand-By Arrangement and on withdrawal of its first tranche. 

This way, the Council of Ministers of BIH assumed a debt towards the IMF in amount of KM 787.5 million with five year repayment period and three year grace period, starting from disbursement date of each tranche.

Under the decision, the Ministry of Finance and Treasury is authorised to issue a Promissory note in amount of KM 116,425,042.06 for withdrawal of the IV Stand-By Arrangement first tranche and to allocate it in a proportion of 2/3 to the Federation of BIH Budget, and 1/3 to Republika Srpska Budget, respectively.

The disbursement of subsequent tranches pends on IMF quarterly review and will be approved relative to BIH fulfilment of the commitments it assumed.
