Council of Ministers of BIH Dismissed SIPA Director

The Council of Ministers of BIH at today’s extraordinary session released Goran Zubac from his duty of Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA). 

Pursuant to the Law on State Investigation and Protection Agency, the duty of Director will be served by Deputy Director Đuro Knežević until the appointment of a new Director.

The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina requires the Independent Committee of the Parliamentarian Assembly of BIH to initiate without delay a vacancy procedure for selection of a new Director of the State Investigation and Protection Agency, and to provide a list of proposed candidates to the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina as needed for further procedure, so that the process of appointment of a new Director might be completed within 60 days at latest.
