Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Holds Its Extraordinary Session

The Council of Ministers of BIH took five decisions, upon a proposal of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, under which projects from the area of culture, sports, international cultural cooperation, innovations and project prepration for 2016 EU Funds are to be supported by KM 5.5 million funding.
Decisions on criteria for funds allocation for co-financing of cultural institutions projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2016 are: the Decision on criteria for distribution of current grant funds „Co-Financing of Sports Events“ for year 2016; Decision on criteria for funds distribution for projects within international cultural cooperation in 2016; Decision on criteria for funds distribution for support to technical culture and innovations in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 20116; and Decision on criteria for allocation of grant funds from „Funding programmes for projects and potential candidate projects preparation for H2020“ for year 2016.
The Decision on criteria for distribution of funds for co-financing of cultural institutions projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2016 plans KM 3,097,000.00 to be allocated by way of public ad, in accordance with the Decision of the Council of Ministers of BIH. Right to project co-financing will be for BIH cultural institutions acting on a non-profit basis.
A KM 1,425,000.00 worth grant for co-financing of sports events in 2016, in accordance with the Decision on criteria for current grant „Co-Financing of Sports Event“ will be distributed to the Olympic and Paralympic Committees of BIH, sports federations at both BIH and Entity levels, sports associations of disables persons, and sports clubs in BIH, as well as other organisation active exclusively in the area of sports.
Planned was KM 440,000.00 for co-financing of projects in the area of international cultural exchange in 2016, to be allocated though a public ad, in accordance with criteria defined under the Decision.
Funds in total amount of KM 117,000.00 will be allocated though the public ad procedure for co-financing of projects in the area of technical culture and innovations, in accordance with criteria defined under the Decision. A project holder may apply in accordance with a public ad procedure, with a project of maximum KM 20,000 value and with clearly stated the level of co-financing expected from the Ministry of Civil Affairs in the project budget break down.
Total KM 440,000.00 were provided for grant „Programmes for projects and potential projects preparation for 'HORIZON 2020' Fund“ in 2016. Of that amount, KM 404,000.00 were intended for project applications via a pubic ad for co-financing of projects applied for „HORIZON 2020“, „Cost“ and „Eureka“ for 2016, while KM 40,000.00 was approved by the Ministry of Civil Affairs in order to increase the successfulness of applications for participation in the European Union Research and Innovations Programme „HORIZON 2020“.
The Ministry of Civil Affairs will, by way of a public ad publish the procedure for funds allocation under project co-financing, in accordance with decisions adopted today, which can be viewed at the Ministry web site and in three daily newspapers in BIH.
