Donor Coordination Forum (DCF) Meets Today



The Donor Coordination Forum (DCF) held a meeting in Sarajevo today, the first one in 2011, in organisation of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury Department for International Economic Aid Coordination (SCIA), under the chairmanship of the Spanish Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).

The meeting was opened by Spanish Ambassador in B-H Alejandro Alvargonzales San Matin, and was attended also by Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden in B-H Bosse Hedberg. The Forum members and representatives of B-H Institutions were presented AECID and Spanish Embassy’s activities and programmes being implemented in the course of their 15 year operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Swedish International Agency for Development Cooperation (SIDA) represented a municipal programme for solid waste management, as well as a portfolio of the on-going and envisioned Swedish assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the Ministry of Finance and Treasury Department for International Economic Aid Coordination presented its proposals of aid coordination mechanisms.

Representatives of major agencies implementing projects and programmes in Bosnia and Herzegovina informed the Forum on new and planned projects, exchanged their views and positive experiences, and informed of the challenges they encounter on the ground.
