Fiscal Council Holds Its Session

Fiscal Council of BIH held a session in Banja Luka, chaired over by Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda and concluded that an arrangement with the IMF is necessary in order to unblock cooperation with the World Bank and European Commission (EC). 

It was agreed that proposals presented at the session of the Advisory Board of the Fiscal Council Advisory Board should be addressed at the next session in order to define all elements for sending a letter of intent to the IMF.

In reviewing the Global Fiscal Balances and Policy Framework in Bosnia and Herzegovina it was agreed that financing amounts for BIH Institutions planned for 2013-2014 should not be changed, nor the indirect tax revenues. An increase in financing of the BIH Institutions is planned for 2015 for KM 30 million, and would amount to KM 980 million, while allocation form the Single treasury Account will amount to KM 780 million.

The Fiscal Council discussed funding of the Census of Population, and agreed that the Census of Population in 2013 will be financed by the BIH Institutions, both Entities and Brčko District proportionately to their respective allocations from the Single Treasury Account.
