Fiscal Council of BIH Session Agrees on Draft Supplemental Letter of Intent

The Fiscal Council of BIH in Sarajevo, chaired over by Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda, agreed a Draft Letter of Intent for the finalisation of the Sixth and Seventh Review of the IMF Stand-By Arrangement, and decided that the Entity Prime Ministers and Brčko District of BIH Mayor should agree on the allocation share from the Instrument of Emergency Financing. 

The Fiscal Council session was attended by the IMF delegation led by head of Mission in BIH Ron van Roden.

The Head of the IMF Mission expressed his condolences for victims of disaster in BIH, and readiness of the IMF to extend support though various modalities in these difficult times. He added that the natural disaster has had an enormous impact to human lives, entire economy and public finances. Members of the Fiscal Council were informed by the IMF of its consideration of possibilities to mobilise an Instrument of Emergency Financing which would double the amount of support to BIH.

Toadyy’s session was attended by Entity Prime Ministers Željka Cvijanović and Nermin Nikšić and Finance Ministers Zoran Tegeltija and Ante Krajina and the Brčko District of BIH representatives.
