Hadžić – Gadis: to Improve BIH – Greece Relations



Minister of Communications and Transport of BIH Damir Hadžić received in Sarajevo today Ambassador of Greece in BIH Karolos Gadis, with whom he talked on modalities of the enhancement of economic relations between the two countries.

Minister Hadžić said that the Euro-Atlantic integrations of Bosnia and Herzegovina are a top priority of the Council of Ministers, in addition to economic policies development aiming at the improvement of the economic situation in the country.

„The Ministry of  Communications and Transport of BIH plays a key role in that, as the economic development depends on the construction of transport infrastructure, while the European integrations imply also the integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina into the regional and continental road network„, Minister Hadžić stressed.

Minister Hadžić and Ambassador Gadis exchanged views of bilateral relations between BiH and Greece, and concluded that the political relations are good, with their international cooperation going well, but that the improvement of economic relations still needs to be visible, especially in terms of the increased volume of mutual foreign exchange. At the meeting, they also discussed possibilities of air flight connection between Sarajevo, Athens and Thessaloniki, for which the business communities of BIH and Greece show their interest, and which would also contribute to mobility of people within the region, in addition to a touristic accessibility of both countries.
