Inaugural meeting of Council of State Aid of Bosnia and Herzegovina



The first meeting of the Council of State Aid of BiH was held today on the premises of the Ministry of Foreign trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The members of the Council of State Aid adopted Rules of Procedure and elected Chairman and two Vice-Chairmen of the Council. Prof. Rajko Tomas was appointed as Chairman and Mr. Alija Aljovic and Ms. Mila Gadzic as his Deputies.

In attendance of the meeting, next to the members of the Council, were Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mr.Mirko Sarovic, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH, Mr. Hamdo Tinjak, and Director of the Directorate for European Integration, Mrs. Nevenka Savic. On behalf of the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the meeting attended Ms. Paola Pampaloni, Head of the BiH Unit of the European Commission’s Enragement Directorate, Mr. Renzo Daviddi, Deputy Head of the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Mr. Thomas Seiler from the European Commission Enlargement Unit.

Minister Sarovic expressed his satisfaction with the Council of State Aid of BiH starting to operate and noted that the forming of the Council is a big step for Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path towards the European Union. Minister congratulated Mr. Tomas, Mr.Aljovic and Ms.Gadzic on their appointment and wished the members of the Council success in their future work.
