Minister Hadžić: BIH To Recover Sovereignty over Its Air Space by Mid 2014

Minister Hadžić talked today with newly elected Director General of “Eurocontrol” Frank Brener and Director of the Directorate for Civil Aviation (BHDCA) Đorđe Ratkovica on creation of conditions for the Agency for Air Navigation Services (BHANSA) to take a full flight control over BIH. 

During the meeting they exchanged opinions on a phased undertaking of a full flight control over Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

Minister Hadžić announced the start of BH ANSA’s operation in a full capacity by the end of this March.

 

The first phase pertains to taking over control of lower skies, and it will be completed by the end of 2013, at latest. A foreign service-provider with a long-time experienced will be hired for this task, Minister Hadžić said, expressing his expectations that by mid-2014, BIH would take up a full control over its skies.

 

Director Brener stated that it is in the interest of Eurocontrol that traffic along all air routes in Europee are safe and to this end, his institution will offer its assistance to BIH.
