Minister of Communications and Transport of BIH Damir Hadžić received in Sarajevo today Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia in BIH Rami Rexhepi, who congratulated him for his appointment, and wished him success in his work.
They concluded that the relations between the two countries have no outstanding issues and pointed at the importance of implementation of infrastructural projects, primarily the Adriatic-Ionian Transversal for all countries of the region.
Minister Hadžić announced, in that context, his plans to visit countries of the region, and accepted in principle the invitation of the Macedonian Ambassador to visit Macedonia.
They agreed that foreign exchange between BIH and Macedonia needs to be increased.
Concluding that both countries have opted for the European path, Minister Hadžić said that other than negative consequences, the Republic of Croatia’s joining the EU will also have positive effects to that process.
Minister Hadžić and Ambassador Rexhepi discussed the accident and death of Macedonain President Boris Trajkovski, near Mostar, on February 26, 2004.
They concluded that the media speculations on this accident should cease, and Minister Hadžić said that Bosnia and Herzegovina is ready to form a joint expert committee to reinvestigate the case, if the Macedonian Government possesses any new findings about this tragedy.
