Minister Hadžić Talks with US Ambassador



Minister of Communications and Transport of BIH Damir Hadžić received in Sarajevo today Ambassador of the USA in BIH Patrick S. Moon, with whom he discussed the current activities on construction of motorway on the corridor V c, digitalisation project and the Communications Regulatory Agency (CRA) and Public broadcasting System in BIH.

As to the motorway construction on the Corridor, Minister Hadžić informed Ambassador Moon that Bosnia and Herzegovina will construct 130 km of motorway by the end of 2014. He said that all in Bosnia and Herzegovina are aware of the importance of this infrastructural project, and underlined that different modalities of project support should be considered, such as private-public partnership, in order to step-up the construction dynamics.

Ambassador Moon expressed his content with the accelerated construction on the Corridor V c, as it is a project of a great significance for BIH future, saying that there is a considerable interest of US companies to take part in the construction of the Corridor.

Minister Hadžić and Ambassador Moon exchanged views on of the CRA and BIH Public Broadcasting System operations, and agreed that there the independence and transparency of both CRA and Public Broadcasting System in BIH are necessary conditions for a regular and unimpaired functioning of media in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
