Minister Ljubić Talks with Ambassador of Kingdom of Netherlands

Minister for Human Rights and Refugees in BIH Damir Ljubić received in Sarajevo today Ambassador of the Kingdom of Netherlands in BIH Sweder van Voorst.
Minister Ljubić informed Ambassador van Voorst on the process of preparations for the up-coming regional donor conference “Durable Solutions for Refugees and Displaced persons”, aimed at establishment of a multi-donor regional fund for return, where Bosnia and Herzegovina is to present a Revised Strategy for Implementation of the Dayton Peace Accords Annex 7.
Ambassador van Voorst said that Netherlands has been already actively providing support to the reconstruction of housing fun and accommodation of returnees, but that Netherlands will take part in the up-coming donor conference. Ambassador van Voorst said that Netherlands is one among major funders of UNCHR activities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Minister Ljubić said that a positive atmosphere prevails concerning the return of refugees and displaced persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting a good cooperation between State and Entity authorities, and that this donor conference will give an impetus to the return, sending out, together with the international community involvement, affirmative messages that this issue is wanted to be finally solved. He informed Ambassador van Voosrt on the current activities of the Ministry for Human Rights and Refugees of BIH to develop, in cooperation with Entity and Cantonal Ministries and Municipal authorities, a joint data base of internally displaced persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina so that the return process would be managed more smoothly and transparently.
Minister Ljubić thanked to Ambassador van Voorst for the support extended to date by the Kingdom of Netherland to Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially in the return process.
