Minister Ljubić Talks with Turkish Ambassador



Minister for Human Rights and Refugees of BIH Damir Ljubić received in Sarajevo today Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in BIH Ahmet Yildiz.

Minister Ljubić informed Ambassador Yildiz on the course of preparations for the up-coming regional Donor Conference on Housing of Refugees and Displaced Persons in the Region, to be held in Sarajevo, on April 24, 2012.

-        The up-coming conference is a chance to raise needed funds and expedite solving of the issue of refugees and displaced persons in the whole region, Minister Ljubić said, adding that he expects arrival of high officials form the region, European Union, United Nations and other international institutions.

Ambassador Yildiz expressed the readiness of Turkey of support the return of refugees to their pre-war places of habitation, by way of credit lines to entrepreneurs for job creation purposes with a focus on returnees throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina, including the provision for grants for administrative expenses.

Minister Ljubić said that all assistance for refugees is welcome and that mechanisms need to be defined for the implementation of these ideas.
