Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Minister of Finance and Treasury Dr Nikola Špirić received in Sarajevo Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in BIH Milan Cuc.
Špirić informed the IMF Representative of his priorities as Minister of Finance and Treasury. He addressed the activities of the Ministry of Finance and Treasury that are needed for a soon drafting of this year’s Budget, which has to imply certain saving measures.
They exchanged views on future modalities of cooperation between BIH and the IMF.
Minister Špirić expressed his hope that all level authorities in BIH will demonstrate a required level of seriousness in order to meet conditions for the continuation of cooperation with the IMF, in line with BIH’s needs.
The meeting discussed IMF technical assistance though the projects of tax administration support and fiscal reporting under international standards.
