Minister Špirić Talks with IMF Resident Representative in BIH

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH and Minister of Finance and Treasury dr. Nikola Špirić talked today with newly-appointed Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in BIH Ruben Atoyan.
Minister Špirić wished Atoyan success in his new assignment on which he replaced the previous IMF Resident Representative Milan Cuc.
The meeting discussed the first review of the IMF Mission that starts on November 7, and will be completed on November 21, 2012.
The meeting agreed that it is necessary to take on reforms stemming from the Letter of Intent with the IMF.
Minister Špirić informed Atoyan ta the Draft Budget of BIh isntitins fo 2013 is completed within legal deadlines, and tht it should be on at Cocunil fo Misntiers of BIH agenda early next week.
The Minister of Finance and Treasury of BIH said that the Budget of BIH Institutions for the next year is set within the same framework as last year’s budget, and reminded that Amendment Law of the Law on Financing of BIH Institutions is already in the parliamentarian procedure. Minister Špirić said that savings will be continued in public spending, and that without new employment.
Minister Špirić expressed his expectation that Entity authorities will undertake all necessary activities in order to have the First IMF Monitoring Mission completed successfully.
The meeting stressed the necessity of implementation of planned reforms in the social sector and public administration, so that this arrangement might be closed with success, unlike the previous one, when only a third of approved IMF loan funds were disbursed.
