Minister Vrankić Sings Purchase Contract for B-H Embassy’s Building in Berlin

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of B-H and Minister of Finance and Treasury of B-H Dragan Vrankić, signed, in Berrlin, on July 20, 2011, a purchase agreement for buying a building for diplomatic-consular representative office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Berlin.

The building of 517 m2 size was built for this purpose and is situated in the former diplomatic quart of Eastern Berlin (Ibenstrasse Street 14), it was used by the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina based on rent agreement concluded in 2000, and it was owned by the Federal Republic of Germany.

The Federal Real Estate Office, an independent legal institution to which all immovable property ownership over of the Federal Republic of Germany was transferred, addressed to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the offer for sale, on January 1, 2009. The Federal Real Estate Office Department for Expertise evaluated the building at EUR 570,000, so that a real market price of it was not formed. The price is fixed and it applies only for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Council of Ministers of B-H took a Decision, at its 153rd session, held in June 14, 2011, to buy the building for the offered price of EUR 517,000, which, converted into KM, amounts KM 1,118, 735. The funds for transaction were provided from the Budget of Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and International Obligations of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2010.
