Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Holds Its 73rd Extraordinary, Phone Session

The Council of Ministers of BIH took the Ministry of Security-proposed decision on seeking international assistance via the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism for evacuation of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Middle East countries.

The request of BIH refers to assistance in repatriation of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina with valid travel document from counties of the Middle East, including using of available capacities of repatriation flights arranged by members of the European Union and of European Union Civil Protection Mechanism.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in cooperation with diplomatic offices of Bosnia and Herzegovina and other competent institutions will provide needed data to the Ministry of Security of BUH on citizens of BIH staying in the Middle East countries.

Under the Council of Ministers decision, KM 800.000 was secured from the current budget reserves of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for needs of evacuation of citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina from the Middle East, with a possibility of use of financial support of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, in line with its rules.
