Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Holds Its 86th Extraordinary, Phone, Session

The Council of Ministers of BIH took a Decision, at today’s extraordinary, phone, session, on temporary suspension and temporary decrease of customs rates on import of certain goods util Dec, 31, 2027, for the purpose of support to domestic economy.

Pursuant to the Law on Customs Tariffs, goods covered by the Decision are materials and raw materials used by BIH producers for production of end products for export, or they are substitution for imported products, which cannot be purchased domestically in quality and quantities required for production od end products.

The Decision was taken upon requests by BIH Foreign Chamber of Commerce and Entity Chamers of Commerce, and it refers to the following sectors: textile industry and industry of lather and footwear; chemical, metal, and electro industry; food industry; graphic and automobile industries; including production of chemical products and special purpose industry.

From entry into force of the Law on Customs Tariffs, the Council of Ministers of BIH has taken 14 decisions on temporary suspension and temporary decrease of customs tariffs in import of certain goods, which were applicable at annual level.

The decision for 2027 covers 74 tariff marks, among which 69 were included in relevant decision from 2026, three were deleted form the list, while six new marks were added.

The Decision takes effect as at day of its adoption and will be published in the “Official Gazette of BIH”; it will be applied starting from January 1, 2027. (end)
