Minister of Civil Affairs of BIH Sredoje Nović and Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia in BIH Andrei Griseli signed in Sarajevo a Protocol between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Government of the Republic of Slovenia on Cooperation in Education.

The Protocol is bears significance in respect to education of children from BIH in Slovenia, as well as in view of education of pupils and students coming from Slovenia to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The conclusion of the two-page Protocol ensures a mutual provision of equal criteria in terms of tuition fee based on reciprocity principle, applied to domestic students.

„Specifically, it means that BIH students in Slovenia will not be charged „foreigners’ tuition fees“, which they used to pay to date, and that students from Slovenia studying at high education institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be applied to the same criteria as BIH students when it comes to costs of studying“, Minister Nović said at the signing of the Protocol.

The Protocol is a product of an Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Government of the Republic of Slovenia on Cooperation in Areas of Culture, Education and Science, signed in Ljubljana in 1999.
