Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina Mirko Šarović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications of the Republic of Serbia Rasim Ljajić and Minister of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Zafer Çağlayan signed today in Ankara a Declaration on Economic and Trade Cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Turkey and Republic of Serbia. The ministerial meeting was organized within the “Trilateral Balkan Summit and Turkey-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Serbia Business Forum”.
The aim of the signing of the Declaration is to promote and diversify trade relations and general economic cooperation among the three countries. The declaration envisages establishment of a Trilateral Trade Committee, whose scope of work will be, inter alia, exchange of information and experiences on issues of multilateral trade agreements, regional cooperation and trade policies, promotion of foreign investment and opportunities for cooperation between the three countries in different sectors regarding economic priorities, research opportunities and encouragement of economic cooperation in third markets.
The signatories of the Declaration will encourage their enterprises to participate in business forums, exhibitions, trade fairs and other promotional activities, and will recommend the business community to hold trilateral business forums in parallel with meetings of the Trilateral Trade Committee in the given country. In order to achieve economic cooperation in third markets, each party will provide support to other parties through its trade representatives in third-country markets.
