Chairwoman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Borjana Krišto held a meeting with EC Vice-President and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Issues Kaja Kallas. The official visit by high EU official was an opportunity for continuation of a continuous dialogue at highest level.

Chairwoman Krišto briefed Kallas on achievements of the Council of Ministers of BIH since their last meeting this April and breakthroughs made. With a political will and accountability of all officials, it needs to take several more steps for an official start of negotiations.

The meeting discussed other current developments to contribute to functionality and stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it touched upon the role of international community. As Bosnia and Herzegovina functions on consensus of three constitutive people reaching sustainable agreements, such approach is needed with our international partners concerning our country.

The high political officials discussed developments in the region and at the European Union level. The EU enlargement process is one of the most important segments of the EU policy, which guarantees to Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well, that it may reach standard of EU countries through reforms and intermigration processes.

The meting concluded that continuous communication goes on for making needed breakthroughs and fulfilling requirements to draw Bosnia and Herzegovina closer to the EU membership. (end)
