Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury dr. Nikola Špirić received in Sarajevo today a World Bank delegation, presenting its major findings and recommendations from the BIH Public Expenditure an Revenue Review (PEIR).
The presentation was attended by Ministers of Finance of the Federation of BIH Ante Krajina and of Republika Srpska Zoran Tegeltija.
The Partnership Strategy foresees PEIR up-dating, with focusing on certain priority sectors and issues. World Bank representatives stressed that this PEIR edition makes an inquiry into the basic challenges encountered by BIH, it analyses overall fiscal developments, including situation with public sector salaries, social benefits, pensions, education, forestry and energy.
The meeting discussed for public spending improvement modalities in BIH.
Representatives of the World Bank Ivon Sikafa, Satu Kakonen, Ron Hud and Head of the WB Office in BIH Anabela Abreu attended the meeting.
