State BIH IPA Package for 2012 Worth EUR 84.77 Million Adopted Unanimously

The Council of Ministers of BIH adopted unanimously, at its 24th session, a full State 2012 IPA Package for Bosnia and Herzegovina, formed by the European Commission, and provide it to the State IPA Coordinator, on October 4th, 2012. 

The Council of Ministers thereby made a new breakthrough in fulfilment of commitments, subject to European Commission-set deadlines.

The Directorate for European Integrations is assigned a task to inform the European Commission on adoption of the 2012 IPA State Package.

Based on BIH proposal, the European Commission formed a package for IPA 212 State Programme for Bosnia and Herzegovina in a total amount of EUR 84.77 million.

The Package consists of 12 projects, namely: Capacity building of parliaments in BIH in view of EU accession; Enhancement of public procurement system n BIH; Support to State and Entity Statistical Institutions – Phase IV; Sub-Sector of Justice; Law enforcement support; Establishment of the State Aid System; Support to BIH in fulfilment of SSA transport related commitments; Development of qualification framework for all forms of education; Support to durable solutions within the Revised Implementation Strategy for Annex VII of the Dayton Peace Agreement; Improvement of Animal Health and Control of by-products of animal origin in Bosnia and Herzegovina; Further capacity building of phytosanitary sector in products for protection of herbs, health of herbal, seeds and seedlings, including phytosanitary laboratories and inspections; and General Instrument for Support to the European integrations.

These proposals represent a final version of project proposals (Pfs) and sector proposals (Sfs) to be filled to the IPA Committee for consideration at its November 26 meeting, and if approved, will be followed by the Commission resolution by the end of 2012.
