Zvizdić – Ferguson: System Reforms a Way towards Better Life of Citizens and towards EU and NATO

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH dr. Denis Zvizdić received in Sarajevo Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Edward Ferguson, and briefed him of priorities of the Council of Ministers for the period ahead. 

Chairman Zvizdić said the priority of the Council of Ministers of BIH is the creation of favourable business environment to attract FDIs and create jobs. He stressed that the system reforms are the key for unleashing resources an economic potentials which Bosnia and Herzegovina is undoubtedly in possession of. He expressed his conviction that putting into operation all of potentials at our disposal would considerably improve the living standard of citizens.

Chairman Zvizdić welcomed British-German initiative for BIH. He stressed that the strategic orientation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is the membership in the EU and NATO, and said that such initiative was tabled at the right moment.

We are a part of Europe in every respect and our aim will be to become it de jure. Therefore, it is of both security and economic relevance to open the MAP doors and become a member of NATO Alliance, which would bring along a system stability and would send a positive message to potential investors that Bosnia and Hezregovina is an area safe for long-term investment“, Chairman Zvizidć said.

Ambassador Ferguson congratulated to Chairman Zvizdić for appointment, and expressed support of the Great Britain to Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, adding that the Great Britain will keep working on strengthening of institutional competences of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to step-up its progressing towards the EU:
