Zvizdić Wishes Happy Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina
11/23/2017
“Dear citizens, I wish you happy the Statehood Day of our only homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina.
On that day, November 25, 1943, Bosnia and Herzegovina restored its thousand years long statehood and again became independent state in which, by agreement of its citizens, constitutive peoples and all other well-intentioned citizens live in equality, then as nowadays,
Today, when we recall the thorny path towards the independence, we remember all Bosnia and Herzegovina citizens who fought for and defended the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state, and who brought peace so that Bosnia and Herzegovina might continue the tradition of common life intermingled by different cultures and religions.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is turned to future today and committed to realising its strategic aims, and these are the membership in the European Union and NATO Alliance, economic development, role of law, and promotion of good relations with our neighbours. The continuous implementation of numerous reforms lead to economic recovery and growth, with a view at improving the competitiveness and living standard of our citizens. Our aim is clear, and we will certainly not divert form it – it is the road to the Euro-Atlantic integrations, which will foster our stability and security and create conditions for the prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s society in a whole.
Dear citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the decisions which recovered our statehood oblige us to know and preserve the truth about a thousand year-old identity of our state.
I wish you happy the Statehood Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina”, reads the message of Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Dr Denis Zvizdić.
