Legislative Office of Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina
Legislative Office of Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina (hereinafter: the Office) was established by the Law on the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of BiH", no. 30/03, 42/03, 81/06, 76/07, 81/07, 94/07 and 24/08).
The Decision of the Legislative Office ("Official Gazette of BiH", no. 45/04) regulates the competence of the Office mode of operation and management, as well as other issues of importance for the work of the Office.
The Office is a permanent, independent, expert body of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina which is responsible for giving legal opinions on the regulations to be submitted to the Council of Ministers in terms of compliance with the legal system of Bosnia and Herzegovina and methodological unity in preparation.
The Office is responsible for giving legal opinions:
the proposals of the law prepared by the ministries, other administrative authority, agencies and institutions, and that the Council of Ministers submitted to the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina for consideration and adoption,
the proposals of decisions, other regulations which are prepared by the ministries, other authorities, agencies and institutions, and that the Council of Ministers adopts within their jurisdiction,
the proposals basis for negotiations and conclusion of international agreements with other countries and international organizations,
the proposals of conclusions, resolutions and other individual acts issued by Council of Ministers within their jurisdiction.
The Office is responsible for the publication in the official gazettes of the regulations and other acts enacted by the Council of Ministers and ministries, other government organs, agencies and institutions of the Council of Ministers in the framework of their authority in way that reconciles the texts before signing the regulations and other documents that are published with the starting material and the conclusions reached in the materials, which are required to submit materials processors.
The Office is managed by a Director.
Director of the Office shall be appointed and dismissed by the Council of Ministers in accordance with the Law on Civil Service in the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Director has the status of Secretary with special assignment.
Director is responsible for his work to the Council of Ministers.
Pursuant to the art. 26 and 27. the Law on the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina ("Official Gazette of BiH", no. 30/03, 42/03, 81/06, 76/07, 81/07, 94/07 and 24/08), Director is a member of the Internal Policy Committee and the Economic Committee of Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
