Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations
The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations is responsible for:
Foreign trade policy and customs tariff policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
Drafting agreements, treaties, and other acts in the field of economic relations and trade with other countries;
Preparing bilateral and multilateral agreements and other acts related to the reconstruction and development of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
Relations with international organizations and institutions in the area of foreign trade and economic relations;
Preparation and drafting of macroeconomic strategic documents in the field of economic relations;
Business environment and the single economic space;
Development and promotion of entrepreneurship;
Control of the movement of goods and services under special trade regimes, both for import and export;
Consumer protection;
Competition;
Coordination of international economic assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, except for the part related to European Union assistance;
Veterinary affairs.
The Ministry is also responsible for tasks within the jurisdiction of Bosnia and Herzegovina concerning the formulation of policies, basic principles, coordination of activities, and harmonization of plans of the entity authorities and institutions at the international level in the fields of:
Agriculture;
Energy;
Environmental protection, development, and use of natural resources;
Tourism.
