Ministry of Justice
The Ministry of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina is responsible for:

Administrative functions related to judicial bodies at the state level;
International and inter-entity judicial cooperation (mutual legal assistance and communication with international tribunals);
Drafting appropriate laws and regulations to regulate matters referred to in items 1 and 2 of this article;
Ensuring that the legislation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its implementation at all levels are in accordance with the obligations of BiH arising from international agreements;
Cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the entities in drafting international bilateral and multilateral agreements;
Providing guidelines and monitoring legal education in order to ensure inter-entity harmonization in this area and compliance with best practices and standards;
Acting as the central coordinating body to ensure the harmonization of legislation and standards within the judicial system among the entities, whether by creating conditions for discussion or by coordinating initiatives;
Extradition;
Administrative inspection tasks related to the enforcement of laws concerning civil servants and employees of administrative bodies, administrative procedures and special administrative procedures, and office operations in administrative bodies;
Matters concerning citizens’ associations, maintaining the registry of citizens’ associations and non-governmental organizations operating in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina;
Other duties and tasks that do not fall under the jurisdiction of other ministries of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but are related to the competences of this ministry.
