Bevanda: A High Quality Investment As Encouragement to Other Investors

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda received in Sarajevo a delegation of the US Global Investment Company “Kohlberg Kravis Roberts” (KKR), led by US General (retired) David Petraeus. 

They discussed possibilities for investment to BIH, since the KKR is a major US direct foreign investor in BIH and region through its Untied Media and Telemach companies’ investments.

Chairman Bevanda expressed his gratitude for arrival of KKR in BIH and said that high quality foreign investments are extremely important for our country, as they may have a long reaching repercussion effect to other potential investors in terms of BIH as an investment conductive  country.

Petraeus said that the KKR is a global investment company with USD 94.3 billion equity and diversified investment portfolio, including energy, forestry, education, financial services, media and communication, hotel industry and health care. He said that the KKR made the major private investment in BIH, which serves as a boost to development of the region, so the KKR may convey a message to potential investors that BIH is a place where government support is possible to enjoy and where competition is fair.

Chairman Bevanda and General Petraeus agreed that the success of the existing investments is an incentive for new investors, which means that in future BIH should become a place for business and  BIH citizens should benefit these investments.
