Bevanda – Donohoe: to Speed-Up European Integrations Process of BIH

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda received in Sarajevo Minister for European Affairs of Ireland Paschal Donohoe. 

Minister Donohoe said that the purpose of his call is to contribute to friendly relations and to boost efforts of BIH in its European Integrations process, and on behalf of Ireland and Irish people, he conveyed a wish for the continuation of good relations between the two countries.

Chairman Bevanda briefed the visitor of the current economic and political situation in BIH, stressing that despite the crisis, the Council of Ministers of BIH has been working in a full capacity on realisation of fiscal and economic sustainability and Road Map requirements, which is the priority of the EU and NATO integrations process.

Minister Donohoe said that he is aware of all difficulties faced by BIH, and said that the success of Chairmen Bevanda and the Council of Ministers of BIH is the impressive one, underlining his expectation to continue on the agenda for the faster EU integrations of BIH.

Speaking of an obligation to solve the remaining two Road Map requirements, Chairman Bevanda said that all BIH citizens are determined for the European way and that such fact binds even more to solve the issue 'Sejdić-Finci ruling' and implement efficient EE coordination mechanism, so that the State might continue on its way towards the European Union membership.
