Bevanda – Ferguson: BIH Is a Country of Great Potentials

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda received in an introductory visit Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Edward Ferguson. 

Chairman Bevanda welcomed Ambassador Ferguson and wished him success in his assignment. He said that the cooperation to date was open and frank and expressed his expectations that the existing good bilateral cooperation would continue in future.

Ambassador Ferguson expressed his pleasure for arriving to BIH, underlining that good relations are important for advancing political and economic cooperation and that the economic reforms are substantial for the country to progress.

The meeting stressed that BIH is a country of great potentials, both in terms of natural resources and in young people who have many times proven their skill and diligence. This fact draws attention to the importance of both incentives to private sector and development of self-employment programmes.

Chairman Bevanda informed Ambassador Ferguson of conclusions from the recent meeting of Heads of Governments of the Western Balkans, in Berlin, upon an invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, as well as on aftermaths of disastrous floods and landslides in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
