Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Vjekoslav Bevanda attended the ceremony of opening of the first stage works at the Ploče Port terminal for liquid cargo.

Opening the works, Chairman Bevanda pointed at the importance of the project for economy of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He added that his undertaking is a good model for major projects to be developed under a public-private partnership arrangement and a sort of guidance for revitalisation of ports according to all European ecological and technological standards.

„Fostering the Ploče Port capacities represents an additional value for Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well, considering recently signed Brussels Joint Declaration on Interpretation and Application of Article 11 of the Free Transit Agreement through territory of Croatia to and from the Ploče Port, which enables export and import of goods from BIH through this Port. It is upon us in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and in Croatia, as well, to use to a maximum level the capacities of the Port for development benefits to our economies“, Chairman Bevanda said.
