Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda met in Sarajevo at a working lunch with Assistant Secretary-General of NATO for Public Diplomacy Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović.

Chairman Bevanda informed Ambassador Kitarević of the previous activities which BIH has completed on its way to NATO Alliance membership. He expressed his gratitude to NATO Alliance for its contribution to stability and peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as for its continued capacity-building and equipping of BIH armed forces under NATO standards.

Ambassador Grabar-Kitanović emphasised that she came to encourage BIH politicians to continue reforms to open a way to the MAP, which would smoot the process of problem-solving concerning stability of institutions, judiciary and fight against organised crime. In their discussion on registration of prospective military property, Ambassador Grabar-Kitanović stressed that it is important for BIH to show unity and political will in solving this issue. She said that NATO is ready to support these efforts, but that it is only BIH that can fulfil its own tasks and commitments.
