Bevanda – Keqiang: Reforms Undertaken by China as Paragon to Transition Countries

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda met today in Bucharest with Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of China Li Keqiang, at the margins of the Central and East European Countries (CEEC) – China Summit of Prime Ministers and the CEEC-China Third Economic-Trade Forum. 

Chairman Bevanda congratulated to Prime Minister Keqiang for his appointment for Prime Minister of the most populated state in the world, which is also a global economic, political and military great power. He lauded the impressive and commendable success of political and economic reforms led by the People’s Republic of China, which can serve as a model to many countries throughout the world, especially to developing and transition countries, like Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Thanking for the congratulations, Prime Minister Keqiang underlined that the political relations between BIH and the People’s Republic of China are friendly and without any outstanding issues, and as such, they can serve for an example. He said that there is a room for the improvement of economic cooperation and that the event, like this Summit in Bucharest, is a good opportunity for finding a way to improve the cooperation in this area.

Chairman Bevanda said that the visa liberation that the People’s Republic of China introduced for BIH entrepreneurs is a good move to additionally foster the existing economic ties. He informed Prime Minister Keqiang of the development potentials of our country and added that Bosnia and Herzegovina is active in searching for foreign partners for investments in the sectors of energy and infrastructure, including in wood, food and textile processing industries, stressing along the geostrategic position of Bosnia and Herzegovina as a foyer and future member of the European Union.

Chairman Bevanda thanked for the support the People’s Republic of China extends to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He said that this CEEC – China Prime Ministers Summit is of a great importance for future cooperation, since the communication and joint deliberation is the foundation of each and every successful undertaking.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Keqiang extended an invitation to Chairman Bevanda to visit the People’s Republic of China in company of an economic delegation of BIH.
