Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda received in a farewell visit Ambassador of the Republic of Austria in BIH Donatus Köck.

Ambassador Köck stressed that the job creation and economic development are the most important for Bosnia and Herzegovina to move forward. He expressed his pleasure for Austria, as the major investor with over 400 Austrian companies working in BIH, is able to offer a considerable support to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He added that a lot needs to be done on the improvement of business environment in BIH so that the economic cooperation up-ward trend may continue.

Chairman Bevanda informed Ambassador Köck on yesterday’s meeting at the EU Delegation Office in Sarajevo, when accepted was a proposal EU Coordination Mechanism, as prepared by the BIH Council of Ministers Team for Development of Coordination Mechanism Document in the European Integrations Process. He expressed his satisfaction with a fact that the agreed solution accommodates all BIH Constitution-based principles of the Council of Ministers Team, including taking care of competences of different levels of BIH authorities. He expressed his hope that yesterday’s agreement will receive a technical support from the Entity Governments and Council of Ministers of BIH, which would finally mean that BIH starts speaking with a single voice towards the EU, based on which positive news are to be expected from Brussels.

Ambassador Köck thanked to Chairman Bevanda for the cooperation during his term, and stressed that the Republic of Austria will continue its support to Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as more European standards implemented makes Bosnia and Herzegovina more attractive to Austrian investors.
