Bevanda-Korte: Good Track of BIH Council of Ministers’ Road Map Implementation

Chairman of the Council of Miniters of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda talked in Sarajevo with Deputy General Director of the European Commission Directorate General for Enlargement Joost Korte. 

Chairman Bevanda informed representatives of the European Commission of the current economic and political situation in BIH, stressing that BIH Council of Ministers has done a lot over the past period on the fulfilment of its Road Map obligations. He specified that it is necessary to put in place an effective coordination mechanism to facilitate BIH discussion with the European Union and make it more constructive.

Chairman Bevanda said that BIH is committed to fulfil the requirements on tis European road and is open for further talks aimed at finding a solution to the satisfaction to all parties participating in the negotiations.

Deputy General Director Korte agreed that the coordination mechanism should be verified as early as possible, and expressed his hope that it will be adopted soon.

During the meeting, discussed were the IPA II programming process and regional programme of housing of refugees and internally displaced persons.

The meeting was attended also by representatives of the Delegation of the European Union in BIH.
