Bevanda-Platini-Osim: State Obliged to Create Conditions Favourable for Your Sportsman

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda received in Sarajevo today representatives of the European Football Federation (EUFA) and Committee for Normalisation of Football Association of BIH, led by president Michael Platini and Ivica Osim, with whom he talked on topical issues concerning football in BIH. 

Chairman Bevanda thanked to president Platini and UEFA to their engagement in the process of rehabilitation of the Football Association of BIH and a continued support to the Committee for Normalisation of the Football Association of BIH, whose members are genuine football legends of our country. He especially emphasised the role of President Platini for amending the composition of European competitions, by which a chance was offered for teams from small countries to participate at the grand European scene.

President of UEFA Platini informed chairman Bevanda on the process of transformation of the Football Association of BIH made to-date, and commended the work of the Committee for Normalisation. He said that the work carried out thus far is just a beginning, and that UEFA, together with the Football Association of BIH and the state of BIH needs to work jointly to construct a football infrastructure in country, primarily a modern stadium for the needs of the football national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Chairman Bevanda said that it is an obligation for the state to support development of football and other sports in the country, and that investment to sports infrastructure is a precondition for development of sports and promotion of healthy life style among young generation.
