Bevanda – Stepišnik: To Improve Economic Cooperation

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevnada and Minister of Economic Development and Technology of the Republic of Slovenia Stanko Stepišnik met in Budva at the margins of the Regional Summit “Region’s 100 Business Leaders – A Deal for new Age”. 

They discussed foreign trade exchange between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Slovenia and modalities for promotion of economic cooperation. Chairman Bevanda said that the existing misbalance in foreign trade exchange disfavours BIH, which should be used as an additional motif to BIH economists to present our potentials in the Republic of Slovenia, in addition to joint projects that might compete at third markets.

“Slovenia is one of the most important foreign trade partners of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and at the same time it is a part of the EU market”, Chairman Bevanda said, adding that the improvement of economic cooperation in the region will produce betterment to all peoples and citizens living in the region.

Chairman Bevanda informed Minister Stepišnik of activities of the Council of Ministers of BIH in the EU accession process, and pointed out that the Republic of Slovenia and its institutions’ assistance would be welcome in the process.
