Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda received in Sarajevo today OSCE Secretary General Ambassador Lambert Zannier, with whom he talked on future cooperation.
Ambassador Zannier congratulated to Chairman Bevanda for appointment and wished him success in his work. He pointed as a positive move is the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina got a new Council of Ministers, with the Chairman strongly committed to the Euro-Atlantic integrations.
“Currently, a positive atmosphere is evident throughout the region concerning a joint goal of Euro-Atlantic integrations, and this positive trend needs to be capitalised on in order to solve outstanding issues that slow down the progress”, Ambassador Zannier underlined.
Thanking for congratulations, Chairman Bevanda said that he appreciates OSCE’s contribution to the institution development in BIH, including its overall contribution in the confidence-building process in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“A stable environment you have created in Bosnia and Herzegovina represents a precondition for economic development. BIH has progressed from Dayton to date and your contribution to this process in invaluable”, Chairman Bevanda stated.
Chairman Bevanda stressed that the advisory role of the OSCE will continue to be very important for BIH institutions, aiming at the acceleration of the Euro-Atlantic integrations.
Ambassador Zannier said OSCE will pledge tis full support to Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Bosnia and Herzegovina, because on that path BIH would adopt the basic democratic principles of the Organisation for European Security and Cooperation.
