Chairman Bevanda with Ambassadors of Austria and Germany

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BIH Vjekoslav Bevanda met in Sarajevo with Ambassadors of the Republic of Austria and FR Germany in BIH, Martin Pammer and Christian Hellbach, respectively. 

They discussed a follow-up conference scheduled for this August in Vienna, which should review the progress made following last year’s Berlin Conference on the Western Balkans.

Chairman Bevanda welcomed contribution by both Austria and Germany, pointing out that both the initiative and event were extremely important, as they represented a commitment to speed-up processes and clearly set priorities. He said that the event it is a great chance for the region, especially for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassadors Pammer and Hellbcach briefed the Chairman of the Vienna Conference topics, saying that discussions will unfold on infrastructure, legal state and civil society. They underlined that processes need to be accelerated and priorities clearly specified. 

The meeting agreed that a lot of effort needs to be taken in future, where expert hubs within competent institutions should be included, in order to arrive to as high quality as possible tasks completion until the Vienna Conference.
